Exquisite Moldavite pendulums, exclusive to Moldavite NZ.
This limited series of 12 engraved pendulums was created to order, inspired by a special commission for an Australian customer six months ago. Each piece has been masterfully crafted by Pavlína Čambalová—the world-renowned Czech artist celebrated for her glass and Moldavite engravings.
Every pendulum begins its journey as a raw Moldavite specimen nearly twice the size and weight of the finished masterpiece. In true artistic fashion, Pavlína painstakingly carves away everything that is not the pendulum, gradually refining and polishing the form until its final shape emerges.
The process is as demanding as it is creative. Not every Moldavite survives the transformation: some pieces rupture under the engraver’s hand due to the natural inner tensions locked within the stone. These stresses date back 15 million years, when the Moldavite was born in a cataclysmic impact—molten matter hurled through the atmosphere, cooling rapidly as it rained back to Earth.
What remains is more than a pendulum. It is a one-of-a-kind work of art, forged from cosmic fire and human mastery. Each of the 12 is an irreplaceable masterpiece—exclusive to Moldavite NZ.
Every pendulum is suspended from a sterling silver chain and is supplied with a certificate of authenticity, guaranteeing its origin and craftsmanship.
What is Moldavite & Where is it From?
Moldavite is a rare tektite or meteoric glass, caused by an asteroid impact 15mil. years ago. The intense, 10,000°c+ temperatures of the strike vapourised the asteroid, target rock and sand, flinging the molten substance high into the atmosphere.
From the impact zone in Germany some 300km away, It landed back to earth in what is now the Czech Republic and as it flew, it cooled and solidified into translucent green, glass-like droplets of various shapes and sizes.
It is said that only 1% of what had originally fallen is still intact to this day and the estimates of the total amount of Moldavite remaining is under 300 tonnes. In comparison with gold or diamonds, this makes Moldavite 1000x rarer.
99% of all Moldavite is found in a small area in the Southern part of the Czech Republic. It can be found on the surface but the highly prized, well preserved specimens are to be found up to 6m underground.

Moldavite is a rare, green tektite formed from a meteorite impact that occurred around 15 million years ago in what is now the Czech Republic. This extraordinary stone is found only in a small region around the Moldau River in Bohemia, making it one of the rarest gemstones on Earth.
Authentic Moldavite has a distinctive surface texture, natural pits, and a translucent green color that varies in intensity. It is also lighter than glass imitations. To ensure authenticity, purchase Moldavite from reputable sources, and consider requesting a certificate of authenticity.
Moldavite is believed to be a powerful stone for transformation, personal growth, and spiritual connection. It is often used in meditation, energy healing, and other spiritual practices to enhance intuition, amplify energy, and facilitate communication with higher realms.
To care for your Moldavite jewelry, gently clean it with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals, extreme temperatures, or prolonged sunlight, as these can affect its color and structure. Store Moldavite separately to prevent scratches.
Moldavite is expensive due to its rarity and limited supply, as it is found only in a specific region of the Czech Republic. Additionally, its unique origins and increasing popularity as both a gemstone and a spiritual tool contribute to its high value. Prices can vary significantly depending on the size, quality, and uniqueness of the piece.
