Beautiful Jasper and Peridot beaded necklace featuring a natural, square shaped 1.81g Chlum Moldavite, securely claw-set in sterling silver and finished with a sparkling Herkimer Diamond suspended beneath. The earthy character of Jasper, vibrant green tones of Peridot and brilliance of the Herkimer come together to create a truly unique piece full of colour, contrast and natural beauty.

Delicate sterling silver floral accents flow from the Peridot beaded chain, adding movement and elegance while perfectly framing the Moldavite centrepiece. The combination of artisan silverwork, carefully chosen stones and thoughtful design creates a necklace that feels both graceful and deeply connected to nature.

In crystal traditions, Peridot is often known as the “stone of compassion” and is associated with abundance, renewal and emotional balance. Many enthusiasts connect it with the Heart and Solar Plexus chakras, appreciating it for its uplifting and harmonious qualities.

Jasper, whose name originates from the Latin iaspidem and Old French jaspre, meaning “spotted or speckled stone”, is an opaque microcrystalline variety of quartz treasured throughout history. Often referred to in metaphysical circles as the “supreme nurturer”, Jasper is associated with grounding, resilience and protective Earth energy.

Herkimer Diamonds are exceptionally clear, naturally double-terminated quartz crystals found primarily in Herkimer County, New York. Admired for their remarkable clarity and sparkle, they are regarded by many crystal enthusiasts as amplifiers of energy and symbols of clarity, alignment and higher awareness.

Together, Moldavite, Jasper, Peridot and Herkimer Diamond create an extraordinary one-of-a-kind necklace — a fusion of colour, craftsmanship and some of nature’s most fascinating creations.

What is Moldavite & where is it from?
Moldavite is a rare tektite or meteoric glass, caused by an asteroid impact 15 million years ago. The intense, 10,000°C+ temperatures of the strike vapourised the asteroid, target rock and sand, flinging the molten substance high into the atmosphere.

From the impact zone in Germany some 300km away, it landed back to earth in what is now the Czech Republic and as it flew, it cooled and solidified into translucent green, glass-like droplets of various shapes and sizes.

It is said that only 1% of what had originally fallen is still intact to this day and the estimates of the total amount of Moldavite remaining is under 300 tonnes. In comparison with gold or diamonds, this makes Moldavite 1000x rarer.

99% of all Moldavite is found in a small area in the southern part of the Czech Republic. It can be found on the surface but the highly prized, well-preserved specimens are found up to 6 metres underground.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. What is Moldavite, and where does it come from?

Moldavite is a rare, green tektite formed from a meteorite impact that occurred around 15 million years ago in what is now the Czech Republic. This extraordinary stone is found only in a small region around the Moldau River in Bohemia, making it one of the rarest gemstones on Earth.

Authentic Moldavite has a distinctive surface texture, natural pits, and a translucent green color that varies in intensity. It is also lighter than glass imitations. To ensure authenticity, purchase Moldavite from reputable sources, and consider requesting a certificate of authenticity.

Moldavite is believed to be a powerful stone for transformation, personal growth, and spiritual connection. It is often used in meditation, energy healing, and other spiritual practices to enhance intuition, amplify energy, and facilitate communication with higher realms.

To care for your Moldavite jewelry, gently clean it with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals, extreme temperatures, or prolonged sunlight, as these can affect its color and structure. Store Moldavite separately to prevent scratches.

Moldavite is expensive due to its rarity and limited supply, as it is found only in a specific region of the Czech Republic. Additionally, its unique origins and increasing popularity as both a gemstone and a spiritual tool contribute to its high value. Prices can vary significantly depending on the size, quality, and uniqueness of the piece.
