An extraordinary statement pendant featuring a magnificent 14.31g Natural Moldavite from the highly regarded Maly Chlum locality, paired with Libyan Desert Glass and masterfully wrapped in antiqued copper.

The centrepiece is an exceptionally substantial Maly Chlum specimen, distinguished by its exquisite natural surface sculpting, deeply textured formations and remarkable character. The intricate contours of this ancient tektite are the result of millions of years of natural processes, creating a fascinating landscape of ridges, grooves and sculptural detail.

Expertly handcrafted in copper wire, the elaborate wrapping embraces the Moldavite without concealing its extraordinary natural beauty. The rich, antiqued copper finish provides a beautiful contrast to the green Moldavite and luminous Libyan Desert Glass, lending the pendant an earthy, almost ancient quality.

Two Ancient Impact Glasses. One Extraordinary Pendant.

Moldavite and Libyan Desert Glass are among the most fascinating natural glasses on Earth, both associated with extraordinary cosmic events separated by millions of years.

Moldavite, formed approximately 14.8 million years ago following a meteorite impact in Europe, is celebrated as The Stone of Transformation. In crystal traditions, it is associated with awakening, profound personal change and the courage to move beyond limitations.

Libyan Desert Glass, formed approximately 29 million years ago through an immense high-energy event, is traditionally associated with personal empowerment, manifestation and inner strength.

Together, these two remarkable materials are considered an especially powerful pairing by crystal enthusiasts. Where Moldavite is believed to inspire transformation and accelerate personal growth, Libyan Desert Glass is thought to provide the grounding confidence, clarity and determination to turn that transformation into meaningful action.

Transformation meets empowerment. Change meets purpose.

Yet the appeal of this pendant extends far beyond its metaphysical associations.

At 14.31 grams, the Moldavite alone is an impressive collector's specimen. Its exceptional surface texture, substantial size and desirable Maly Chlum origin make it a remarkable example of Czech Moldavite, worthy of admiration in its own right.

The addition of Libyan Desert Glass and the intricate antiqued copper craftsmanship transforms these two ancient natural treasures into a commanding piece of wearable art.

A pendant of real substance, presence and individuality. Created for someone who appreciates extraordinary natural materials, exceptional craftsmanship and jewellery that is anything but ordinary.

A brass chain is included, ready to wear.

What is Moldavite & where is it from?

Moldavite is a rare tektite or meteoric glass, caused by an asteroid impact 15 million years ago. The intense, 10,000°C+ temperatures of the strike vapourised the asteroid, target rock and sand, flinging the molten substance high into the atmosphere.

From the impact zone in Germany some 300km away, it landed back to earth in what is now the Czech Republic and as it flew, it cooled and solidified into translucent green, glass-like droplets of various shapes and sizes.

It is said that only 1% of what had originally fallen is still intact to this day and the estimates of the total amount of Moldavite remaining is under 300 tonnes. In comparison with gold or diamonds, this makes Moldavite 1000x rarer.

99% of all Moldavite is found in a small area in the southern part of the Czech Republic. It can be found on the surface but the highly prized, well-preserved specimens are found up to 6 metres underground.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. What is Moldavite, and where does it come from?

Moldavite is a rare, green tektite formed from a meteorite impact that occurred around 15 million years ago in what is now the Czech Republic. This extraordinary stone is found only in a small region around the Moldau River in Bohemia, making it one of the rarest gemstones on Earth.

Authentic Moldavite has a distinctive surface texture, natural pits, and a translucent green color that varies in intensity. It is also lighter than glass imitations. To ensure authenticity, purchase Moldavite from reputable sources, and consider requesting a certificate of authenticity.

Moldavite is believed to be a powerful stone for transformation, personal growth, and spiritual connection. It is often used in meditation, energy healing, and other spiritual practices to enhance intuition, amplify energy, and facilitate communication with higher realms.

To care for your Moldavite jewelry, gently clean it with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals, extreme temperatures, or prolonged sunlight, as these can affect its color and structure. Store Moldavite separately to prevent scratches.

Moldavite is expensive due to its rarity and limited supply, as it is found only in a specific region of the Czech Republic. Additionally, its unique origins and increasing popularity as both a gemstone and a spiritual tool contribute to its high value. Prices can vary significantly depending on the size, quality, and uniqueness of the piece.
