Introducing the Antipodes Collection – over two years in the making.
This is the very first prototype, and it carries a story that spans hemispheres, cultures, and origins far beyond Earth itself.
The idea for the Antipodes Collection was born from a desire to honour two greenstones from two worlds: Pounamu (New Zealand Greenstone)—revered by the Māori as a stone of lineage, strength, protection and prestige—and Moldavite, my own native “greenstone from the stars,” formed 15 million years ago in what is now the Czech Republic. One anchors us to the land; the other reminds us of our cosmic origins. Together they create a dialogue between Earth and sky.
Moldavite and Greenstone, a match made in the heavens:
Energetically, the pairing makes perfect sense: Pounamu is grounding, steady, and deeply connected to whakapapa and the land. Moldavite is catalytic, fast-moving, and transformative. One stabilises; the other accelerates. Aesthetically, their natural greens, textures, and histories complement one another so strongly that it feels almost inevitable to unite them.
For the northern hemisphere—and Moldavite’s extraterrestrial origin—a perfectly formed 10 g Nesmen Moldavite, naturally shaped as a semi-circle with rich texture, was chosen.
To complete the circle and represent the southern hemisphere, a piece of Pounamu from Takaka Hill—also known as the Crystal Mountain—was selected. Master carver Mark McPherson shaped it to mirror the Moldavite’s arc with absolute precision, creating a harmony that feels discovered, not manufactured.
To bind these two worlds into one statement piece, we chose antiqued copper wire wrap, grounding and elemental, uniting both stones while preserving their raw, ancestral character. The result is a truly monumental artefact—symbolic, balanced, and utterly unique.

What is Moldavite & where is it from?
Moldavite is a rare tektite or meteoric glass, caused by an asteroid impact 15 mil. years ago. The intense, 10,000 °c+ temperatures of the strike vapourised the asteroid, target rock and sand, flinging the molten substance high into the atmosphere.
From the impact zone in Germany some 300 km away, it landed back to earth in what is now the Czech Republic and as it flew, it cooled and solidified into translucent green, glass-like droplets of various shapes and sizes.
It is said that only 1% of what had originally fallen is still intact to this day and the estimates of the total amount of Moldavite remaining is under 300 tonnes. In comparison with gold or diamonds, this makes Moldavite 1000× rarer.
99% of all Moldavite is found in a small area in the Southern part of the Czech Republic. It can be found on the surface but the highly prized, well-preserved specimens are to be found up to 6 m underground.

Moldavite is a rare, green tektite formed from a meteorite impact that occurred around 15 million years ago in what is now the Czech Republic. This extraordinary stone is found only in a small region around the Moldau River in Bohemia, making it one of the rarest gemstones on Earth.
Authentic Moldavite has a distinctive surface texture, natural pits, and a translucent green color that varies in intensity. It is also lighter than glass imitations. To ensure authenticity, purchase Moldavite from reputable sources, and consider requesting a certificate of authenticity.
Moldavite is believed to be a powerful stone for transformation, personal growth, and spiritual connection. It is often used in meditation, energy healing, and other spiritual practices to enhance intuition, amplify energy, and facilitate communication with higher realms.
To care for your Moldavite jewelry, gently clean it with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals, extreme temperatures, or prolonged sunlight, as these can affect its color and structure. Store Moldavite separately to prevent scratches.
Moldavite is expensive due to its rarity and limited supply, as it is found only in a specific region of the Czech Republic. Additionally, its unique origins and increasing popularity as both a gemstone and a spiritual tool contribute to its high value. Prices can vary significantly depending on the size, quality, and uniqueness of the piece.
