This is not mass-produced jewellery—it is a considered, collectible offering for those who understand rarity, provenance, and craftsmanship.

What is Moldavite & where is it from?
Moldavite is a rare tektite or meteoric glass, formed by an asteroid impact approximately 15 million years ago. The extreme temperatures of the impact—exceeding 10,000°C—vapourised the asteroid, surrounding rock, and sand, ejecting molten material high into the atmosphere.

From the impact site in present-day Germany, this material travelled over 300km before falling back to Earth in what is now the Czech Republic. As it travelled, it cooled and solidified into translucent green, glass-like forms.

It is estimated that only around 1% of the original Moldavite remains intact today, with total reserves under 300 tonnes—making it significantly rarer than gold or diamonds. Approximately 99% of Moldavite is found within a small region of southern Czech Republic, with the most valued pieces recovered from underground deposits.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. What is Moldavite, and where does it come from?

Moldavite is a rare, green tektite formed from a meteorite impact that occurred around 15 million years ago in what is now the Czech Republic. This extraordinary stone is found only in a small region around the Moldau River in Bohemia, making it one of the rarest gemstones on Earth.

Authentic Moldavite has a distinctive surface texture, natural pits, and a translucent green color that varies in intensity. It is also lighter than glass imitations. To ensure authenticity, purchase Moldavite from reputable sources, and consider requesting a certificate of authenticity.

Moldavite is believed to be a powerful stone for transformation, personal growth, and spiritual connection. It is often used in meditation, energy healing, and other spiritual practices to enhance intuition, amplify energy, and facilitate communication with higher realms.

To care for your Moldavite jewelry, gently clean it with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals, extreme temperatures, or prolonged sunlight, as these can affect its color and structure. Store Moldavite separately to prevent scratches.

Moldavite is expensive due to its rarity and limited supply, as it is found only in a specific region of the Czech Republic. Additionally, its unique origins and increasing popularity as both a gemstone and a spiritual tool contribute to its high value. Prices can vary significantly depending on the size, quality, and uniqueness of the piece.
