This exceptional pendant brings together four remarkable natural minerals in a balanced and harmonious composition, uniting cosmic impact glass with crystalline clarity and colour.

At the centre sits an immaculate Moldavite from Maly Chlum, weighing 4.05 grams. Beautifully preserved and naturally sculpted, this specimen displays the unmistakable deep etching and elegant form characteristic of material from this famous locality. Its balanced shape and excellent condition allow the stone’s natural character to stand proudly — authentic, untouched, and unmistakably Czech.

Complementing it is a striking piece of Libyan Desert Glass, weighing 5.6 grams. This golden silica glass was formed by a meteorite impact in the Sahara approximately 29 million years ago, where intense heat fused desert sands into luminous, translucent glass. Its warm honey tones create a stunning contrast against the deep green of Moldavite.

Adding a vibrant layer of colour is Amethyst, the violet variety of quartz long valued for both its beauty and calming clarity. Its rich purple tones provide a beautiful visual bridge between the warm gold of Libyan Desert Glass and the cool crystalline brilliance of quartz.

Completing the composition are Herkimer diamonds — naturally double-terminated quartz crystals prized for their remarkable clarity and ability to capture and reflect light. Their crystalline brilliance acts as luminous anchors within the design, bringing sparkle, symmetry, and balance to the entire piece.

All four elements are gracefully hand-wrapped in 14k gold-filled wire, creating an elegant yet organic structure that allows each stone to breathe while remaining perfectly balanced.

This combination is far from accidental.

Moldavite carries the dynamic, transformational energy of the Ries impact, formed some 15 million years ago when an asteroid struck what is now Germany, launching molten material across Central Europe.

Libyan Desert Glass holds a solar, expansive quality, formed under immense desert heat and long associated with abundance, joy, and creative manifestation.

Amethyst brings a stabilising and clarifying presence, often regarded as a stone of insight, calm awareness, and spiritual balance.

Herkimer diamonds act as natural amplifiers, enhancing and harmonising the qualities of the stones around them.

Together, they form a powerful natural synergy:

Moldavite initiates movement and transformation
Libyan Desert Glass softens and expands that energy
Amethyst introduces clarity and calm balance
Herkimer diamonds amplify and unify the whole composition

Visually and energetically, the result feels complete.

Green, gold, violet, and crystal clarity — earth, desert, and light.

Four extraordinary minerals.
Two born of cosmic impact.
One balanced composition.

Gold-Filled Wire Explained
Gold-filled wire is the superior choice for fine jewellery and wire-wrapping. It’s created by permanently bonding a thick layer of 14k solid gold to a jeweller’s brass core using heat and pressure. Unlike gold plating—which is typically just 0.5–1 micron thick and wears off quickly—gold-filled wire contains around 5% real gold by weight, or roughly 100× more gold than plating.

The exterior of gold-filled wire is solid 14k gold—that’s what your skin touches—and it will never wear off with normal use. It offers the same rich tone, lustre, and feel as solid gold, but at a fraction of the cost.

For techniques like wire wrapping, solid 14k gold cannot be used—it’s too hard, stiff, and unworkable for intricate designs. Gold-filled wire provides the perfect balance: the beauty and longevity of solid gold combined with the flexibility and practicality required for hand-crafted jewellery.

What is Moldavite & where is it from?
Moldavite is a rare tektite or meteoric glass, caused by an asteroid impact 15mil. years ago. The intense, 10,000°c+ temperatures of the strike vapourised the asteroid, target rock and sand, flinging the molten substance high into the atmosphere.
From the impact zone in Germany some 300km away, It landed back to earth in what is now the Czech Republic and as it flew, it cooled and solidified into translucent green, glass-like droplets of various shapes and sizes.

It is said that only 1% of what had originally fallen is still intact to this day and the estimates of the total amount of Moldavite remaining is under 300 tonnes. In comparison with gold or diamonds, this makes Moldavite 1000x rarer.
99% of all Moldavite is found in a small area in the Southern part of the Czech Republic. It can be found on the surface but the highly prized, well preserved specimens are to be found up to 6m underground.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. What is Moldavite, and where does it come from?

Moldavite is a rare, green tektite formed from a meteorite impact that occurred around 15 million years ago in what is now the Czech Republic. This extraordinary stone is found only in a small region around the Moldau River in Bohemia, making it one of the rarest gemstones on Earth.

Authentic Moldavite has a distinctive surface texture, natural pits, and a translucent green color that varies in intensity. It is also lighter than glass imitations. To ensure authenticity, purchase Moldavite from reputable sources, and consider requesting a certificate of authenticity.

Moldavite is believed to be a powerful stone for transformation, personal growth, and spiritual connection. It is often used in meditation, energy healing, and other spiritual practices to enhance intuition, amplify energy, and facilitate communication with higher realms.

To care for your Moldavite jewelry, gently clean it with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals, extreme temperatures, or prolonged sunlight, as these can affect its color and structure. Store Moldavite separately to prevent scratches.

Moldavite is expensive due to its rarity and limited supply, as it is found only in a specific region of the Czech Republic. Additionally, its unique origins and increasing popularity as both a gemstone and a spiritual tool contribute to its high value. Prices can vary significantly depending on the size, quality, and uniqueness of the piece.
