Handcrafted in the Czech Republic, this beautiful pendant features a substantial 5.15g specimen of Natural Moldavite from Maly Chlum, set in silver-plated copper using the electroforming technique.
The Moldavite is particularly striking, with a broad, irregular formation, beautiful olive-green translucency and an intricate network of natural ridges, folds and deeply sculptured surfaces. Its delicate, uneven edges and darker textured areas create a wonderful contrast with the light passing through the glass.
The silver-plated copper setting follows the natural contours of the Moldavite, forming an organic, textured border that securely embraces the stone without concealing its beauty. The silver finish provides an attractive contrast to the rich green glass, giving the pendant a distinctive, handcrafted character.
Copper electroforming is a fascinating process in which copper is gradually deposited onto a prepared surface using an electrical current. Over time, the copper builds up around selected areas of the stone, creating a strong, individually shaped setting that follows its natural contours. The finished copper is then silver plated, combining the sculptural qualities of electroforming with the appearance of silver.
Each electroformed creation is unique, making this a wonderful example of Czech craftsmanship and the natural beauty of Maly Chlum Moldavite.

Moldavite is a rare, green tektite formed from a meteorite impact that occurred around 15 million years ago in what is now the Czech Republic. This extraordinary stone is found only in a small region around the Moldau River in Bohemia, making it one of the rarest gemstones on Earth.
Authentic Moldavite has a distinctive surface texture, natural pits, and a translucent green color that varies in intensity. It is also lighter than glass imitations. To ensure authenticity, purchase Moldavite from reputable sources, and consider requesting a certificate of authenticity.
Moldavite is believed to be a powerful stone for transformation, personal growth, and spiritual connection. It is often used in meditation, energy healing, and other spiritual practices to enhance intuition, amplify energy, and facilitate communication with higher realms.
To care for your Moldavite jewelry, gently clean it with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals, extreme temperatures, or prolonged sunlight, as these can affect its color and structure. Store Moldavite separately to prevent scratches.
Moldavite is expensive due to its rarity and limited supply, as it is found only in a specific region of the Czech Republic. Additionally, its unique origins and increasing popularity as both a gemstone and a spiritual tool contribute to its high value. Prices can vary significantly depending on the size, quality, and uniqueness of the piece.
