This impressive pendant features a beautifully textured and naturally sculpted Moldavite specimen from Maly Chlum, weighing 4.21 grams. The stone displays excellent colour and form, with numerous microscopic gas bubbles visible to the naked eye—one of the definitive hallmarks of genuine Moldavite formed during rapid cooling after the asteroid impact.
The Moldavite is securely cap-set in 9 grams of solid sterling silver, giving the piece exceptional presence and durability. The silverwork was handcrafted in Amed, Bali by our master traditional jeweller Nengah, whose work is renowned for its strength, balance, and respect for the natural character of the stone.
A bold, substantial pendant that combines collector-grade Moldavite with serious silver weight—created as a long-term piece, not a lightweight adornment.

What is Moldavite & where is it from?
Moldavite is a rare tektite or meteoric glass, caused by an asteroid impact 15 million years ago. The intense, 10,000 °C+ temperatures of the strike vapourised the asteroid, target rock, and sand, flinging the molten substance high into the atmosphere.
From the impact zone in Germany some 300 km away, it landed back to Earth in what is now the Czech Republic and, as it flew, cooled and solidified into translucent green, glass-like droplets of various shapes and sizes.
It is said that only 1% of what originally fell is still intact today, with estimates placing the total amount of Moldavite remaining at under 300 tonnes. In comparison with gold or diamonds, this makes Moldavite around 1,000× rarer.
Approximately 99% of all Moldavite is found in a small area in the southern Czech Republic. While some can be found on the surface, the most highly prized, well-preserved specimens are typically recovered from depths of up to 6 metres.

Moldavite is a rare, green tektite formed from a meteorite impact that occurred around 15 million years ago in what is now the Czech Republic. This extraordinary stone is found only in a small region around the Moldau River in Bohemia, making it one of the rarest gemstones on Earth.
Authentic Moldavite has a distinctive surface texture, natural pits, and a translucent green color that varies in intensity. It is also lighter than glass imitations. To ensure authenticity, purchase Moldavite from reputable sources, and consider requesting a certificate of authenticity.
Moldavite is believed to be a powerful stone for transformation, personal growth, and spiritual connection. It is often used in meditation, energy healing, and other spiritual practices to enhance intuition, amplify energy, and facilitate communication with higher realms.
To care for your Moldavite jewelry, gently clean it with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals, extreme temperatures, or prolonged sunlight, as these can affect its color and structure. Store Moldavite separately to prevent scratches.
Moldavite is expensive due to its rarity and limited supply, as it is found only in a specific region of the Czech Republic. Additionally, its unique origins and increasing popularity as both a gemstone and a spiritual tool contribute to its high value. Prices can vary significantly depending on the size, quality, and uniqueness of the piece.
