There are two ways to build an exceptional Moldavite portfolio. You can acquire individual specimens one piece at a time over many years — or, on rare occasions, you can acquire an entire collection that has already taken years of careful searching, selection and refinement to assemble.
This remarkable collector’s case offers exactly that opportunity.
Comprising 16 hand-picked Moldavite specimens with a combined weight of approximately 71g, the collection brings together exceptional examples from three of South Bohemia’s most important and highly regarded localities: Marouškovo Pole, Chlum and Malý Chlum.
Every stone has been individually selected for its form, texture, condition and overall aesthetic appeal. The collection features an impressive variety of sculptural shapes and natural surface characteristics, providing a beautiful representation of the distinctive qualities for which these celebrated Moldavite fields are known. All 16 specimens are in mint condition, with particularly attractive forms and well-preserved natural textures.
Among the collection are two genuine Angel Chimes — Moldavites containing naturally trapped internal material that produces an audible sound when the stone is gently shaken. These unusual specimens add another fascinating dimension to an already exceptional group.
Rather than simply being a quantity of Moldavite assembled into a case, this is a carefully curated Moldavite portfolio — a collection in which every specimen has earned its place. Considerable time, knowledge and patience went into bringing these particular stones together, creating a balanced collection that would be extremely difficult to replicate by purchasing individual pieces today.
Each of the 16 specimens is supplied with its own individual Certificate of Authenticity, documenting the stone and its locality, allowing every piece to retain its individual identity and provenance within the wider collection.
For the serious collector looking to establish or significantly expand a Moldavite portfolio, this represents a rare opportunity to acquire in a single purchase what could otherwise take many years of searching to assemble.

Moldavite is a rare tektite or meteoric glass, caused by an asteroid impact 15 million years ago. The intense, 10,000°C+ temperatures of the strike vapourised the asteroid, target rock and sand, flinging the molten substance high into the atmosphere.
From the impact zone in Germany some 300km away, it landed back to earth in what is now the Czech Republic and as it flew, it cooled and solidified into translucent green, glass-like droplets of various shapes and sizes.
It is said that only 1% of what had originally fallen is still intact to this day and the estimates of the total amount of Moldavite remaining is under 300 tonnes. In comparison with gold or diamonds, this makes Moldavite 1000x rarer.
99% of all Moldavite is found in a small area in the southern part of the Czech Republic. It can be found on the surface but the highly prized, well-preserved specimens are found up to 6 metres underground.

Moldavite is a rare, green tektite formed from a meteorite impact that occurred around 15 million years ago in what is now the Czech Republic. This extraordinary stone is found only in a small region around the Moldau River in Bohemia, making it one of the rarest gemstones on Earth.
Authentic Moldavite has a distinctive surface texture, natural pits, and a translucent green color that varies in intensity. It is also lighter than glass imitations. To ensure authenticity, purchase Moldavite from reputable sources, and consider requesting a certificate of authenticity.
Moldavite is believed to be a powerful stone for transformation, personal growth, and spiritual connection. It is often used in meditation, energy healing, and other spiritual practices to enhance intuition, amplify energy, and facilitate communication with higher realms.
To care for your Moldavite jewelry, gently clean it with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals, extreme temperatures, or prolonged sunlight, as these can affect its color and structure. Store Moldavite separately to prevent scratches.
Moldavite is expensive due to its rarity and limited supply, as it is found only in a specific region of the Czech Republic. Additionally, its unique origins and increasing popularity as both a gemstone and a spiritual tool contribute to its high value. Prices can vary significantly depending on the size, quality, and uniqueness of the piece.
