Stunning sterling silver necklace featuring a natural Czech Moldavite pendant paired with an elegant Prehnite beaded chain. The soft, soothing green tones of the Prehnite create a beautiful harmony with the deeper forest-green hues of Moldavite, resulting in a piece that feels both refined and deeply connected to nature.

The Moldavite featured in this piece originates from the renowned Maly Chlum locality and weighs 2.81 grams. Appreciated by collectors for its distinctive texture, clarity and character, Maly Chlum Moldavite is highly sought after and increasingly difficult to source.

Handcrafted in Bali by an experienced Swiss jeweller, this one-of-a-kind creation combines exceptional craftsmanship with carefully chosen natural materials. The sterling silver setting securely holds the Moldavite while allowing its unique shape, texture and character to remain the centrepiece.

In the world of lithotherapy and crystal appreciation, Prehnite is often associated with calm, inner peace and a strong connection to nature. It is frequently linked with the Heart and Solar Plexus chakras, and many enthusiasts regard it as a stone connected with emotional balance, intuition and protection — making it a fascinating companion to the extraordinary energy and story of Moldavite.

A graceful and unique statement piece combining artisan jewellery, natural beauty and two highly appreciated stones.

Each piece comes with a certificate of authenticity tied to a money-back guarantee.

What is Moldavite & where is it from?
Moldavite is a rare tektite or meteoric glass, caused by an asteroid impact 15 million years ago. The intense, 10,000°C+ temperatures of the strike vapourised the asteroid, target rock and sand, flinging the molten substance high into the atmosphere.

From the impact zone in Germany some 300km away, it landed back to earth in what is now the Czech Republic and as it flew, it cooled and solidified into translucent green, glass-like droplets of various shapes and sizes.

It is said that only 1% of what had originally fallen is still intact to this day and the estimates of the total amount of Moldavite remaining is under 300 tonnes. In comparison with gold or diamonds, this makes Moldavite 1000x rarer.

99% of all Moldavite is found in a small area in the southern part of the Czech Republic. It can be found on the surface but the highly prized, well-preserved specimens are found up to 6 metres underground.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. What is Moldavite, and where does it come from?

Moldavite is a rare, green tektite formed from a meteorite impact that occurred around 15 million years ago in what is now the Czech Republic. This extraordinary stone is found only in a small region around the Moldau River in Bohemia, making it one of the rarest gemstones on Earth.

Authentic Moldavite has a distinctive surface texture, natural pits, and a translucent green color that varies in intensity. It is also lighter than glass imitations. To ensure authenticity, purchase Moldavite from reputable sources, and consider requesting a certificate of authenticity.

Moldavite is believed to be a powerful stone for transformation, personal growth, and spiritual connection. It is often used in meditation, energy healing, and other spiritual practices to enhance intuition, amplify energy, and facilitate communication with higher realms.

To care for your Moldavite jewelry, gently clean it with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals, extreme temperatures, or prolonged sunlight, as these can affect its color and structure. Store Moldavite separately to prevent scratches.

Moldavite is expensive due to its rarity and limited supply, as it is found only in a specific region of the Czech Republic. Additionally, its unique origins and increasing popularity as both a gemstone and a spiritual tool contribute to its high value. Prices can vary significantly depending on the size, quality, and uniqueness of the piece.
