A substantial and deeply textured Moldavite specimen from the Maly Chlum locality in the Czech Republic.
This piece has excellent natural surface texture, with deep sculpting and plenty of character. It has a couple of small, insignificant scuffs, but these do little to detract from what is an impressive specimen.
Of particular interest is an open bubble/cavity, along with a visible internal air bubble. Where a small chip has exposed a naturally polished, glass-like surface, the bubble can be clearly seen suspended within the Moldavite itself — a fascinating glimpse inside the stone.
