A distinctive pendant featuring 3.58g of natural Moldavite from Marouskovo Pole, Czech Republic, paired with polished rose quartz and handcrafted in sterling silver.
The Moldavite has an elongated, organic form with a beautifully preserved rough and deeply textured surface. Fine grooves, pits and natural ridges run across the stone, creating darker forest-green areas alongside brighter olive-green highlights as light moves across its uneven surface.
The smooth, rounded rose quartz provides a striking contrast to the rugged Moldavite. Its soft, pale pink translucency catches the light gently, while the Moldavite below has a much more complex interaction with light due to its irregular surface and varying thickness.
The sterling silver wirework follows the natural outline of the Moldavite rather than concealing it, securing the stone while leaving much of its original texture visible. Fine wrapped details around the frame give the pendant a handcrafted character without taking attention away from the stones.
A beautiful one-of-a-kind piece that brings together raw Czech Moldavite, smooth rose quartz and detailed sterling silver craftsmanship.
Each piece comes with a certificate of authenticity tied to a money-back guarantee. |
Moldavite is a rare tektite or meteoric glass, caused by an asteroid impact 15 million years ago. The intense, 10,000°C+ temperatures of the strike vapourised the asteroid, target rock and sand, flinging the molten substance high into the atmosphere.
From the impact zone in Germany some 300km away, it landed back to earth in what is now the Czech Republic and as it flew, it cooled and solidified into translucent green, glass-like droplets of various shapes and sizes.
It is said that only 1% of what had originally fallen is still intact to this day and the estimates of the total amount of Moldavite remaining is under 300 tonnes. In comparison with gold or diamonds, this makes Moldavite 1000x rarer.
99% of all Moldavite is found in a small area in the southern part of the Czech Republic. It can be found on the surface but the highly prized, well-preserved specimens are found up to 6 metres underground.
Moldavite is a rare, green tektite formed from a meteorite impact that occurred around 15 million years ago in what is now the Czech Republic. This extraordinary stone is found only in a small region around the Moldau River in Bohemia, making it one of the rarest gemstones on Earth.
Authentic Moldavite has a distinctive surface texture, natural pits, and a translucent green color that varies in intensity. It is also lighter than glass imitations. To ensure authenticity, purchase Moldavite from reputable sources, and consider requesting a certificate of authenticity.
Moldavite is believed to be a powerful stone for transformation, personal growth, and spiritual connection. It is often used in meditation, energy healing, and other spiritual practices to enhance intuition, amplify energy, and facilitate communication with higher realms.
To care for your Moldavite jewelry, gently clean it with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals, extreme temperatures, or prolonged sunlight, as these can affect its color and structure. Store Moldavite separately to prevent scratches.
Moldavite is expensive due to its rarity and limited supply, as it is found only in a specific region of the Czech Republic. Additionally, its unique origins and increasing popularity as both a gemstone and a spiritual tool contribute to its high value. Prices can vary significantly depending on the size, quality, and uniqueness of the piece.
