An extraordinary handcrafted Tree of Life pendant featuring a substantial 7.59g Natural Moldavite specimen from Chlum, Czech Republic, intricately wrapped in silver wire by a highly skilled local New Zealand artisan.
The Moldavite is a magnificent centrepiece, displaying a rich, deep forest-green colour and exceptionally rugged natural sculpturing. Its surface is covered in pronounced ridges, deep grooves and intricate etched textures, giving the stone a wonderfully dramatic appearance.
The pendant itself is a remarkable example of detailed wire-wrapping craftsmanship. An elegant, elongated frame has been painstakingly constructed using multiple strands of silver wire, with beautifully twisted branches extending across the Moldavite to form the Tree of Life.
At the base of the tree, a natural Herkimer Diamond has been incorporated among the roots, providing a beautiful contrast to the dark green Moldavite. Its clear, crystalline appearance adds another dimension to the design, while the intricate network of roots and branches brings the entire composition together.
Every detail has been carefully considered, from the tightly coiled double bail to the finely woven outer frame and the beautifully flowing wirework. The combination of the substantial Moldavite, sparkling Herkimer Diamond and elaborate silver craftsmanship makes this an exceptionally distinctive piece.
The Tree of Life symbolises growth, strength, connection and renewal, making this pendant as meaningful as it is visually striking.
A truly one-of-a-kind creation, bringing together two extraordinary natural materials and the exceptional skill of a local artisan.
Each piece comes with a certificate of authenticity tied to a money-back guarantee. |
Moldavite is a rare tektite or meteoric glass, caused by an asteroid impact 15 million years ago. The intense, 10,000°C+ temperatures of the strike vapourised the asteroid, target rock and sand, flinging the molten substance high into the atmosphere.
From the impact zone in Germany some 300km away, it landed back to earth in what is now the Czech Republic and as it flew, it cooled and solidified into translucent green, glass-like droplets of various shapes and sizes.
It is said that only 1% of what had originally fallen is still intact to this day and the estimates of the total amount of Moldavite remaining is under 300 tonnes. In comparison with gold or diamonds, this makes Moldavite 1000x rarer.
99% of all Moldavite is found in a small area in the southern part of the Czech Republic. It can be found on the surface but the highly prized, well-preserved specimens are found up to 6 metres underground.

Moldavite is a rare, green tektite formed from a meteorite impact that occurred around 15 million years ago in what is now the Czech Republic. This extraordinary stone is found only in a small region around the Moldau River in Bohemia, making it one of the rarest gemstones on Earth.
Authentic Moldavite has a distinctive surface texture, natural pits, and a translucent green color that varies in intensity. It is also lighter than glass imitations. To ensure authenticity, purchase Moldavite from reputable sources, and consider requesting a certificate of authenticity.
Moldavite is believed to be a powerful stone for transformation, personal growth, and spiritual connection. It is often used in meditation, energy healing, and other spiritual practices to enhance intuition, amplify energy, and facilitate communication with higher realms.
To care for your Moldavite jewelry, gently clean it with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals, extreme temperatures, or prolonged sunlight, as these can affect its color and structure. Store Moldavite separately to prevent scratches.
Moldavite is expensive due to its rarity and limited supply, as it is found only in a specific region of the Czech Republic. Additionally, its unique origins and increasing popularity as both a gemstone and a spiritual tool contribute to its high value. Prices can vary significantly depending on the size, quality, and uniqueness of the piece.
